ADWLE, under the chairmanship of Deputy Director Mr. Phayao Phimmasone, conducted a training session on legal professional knowledge and skills for lawyers and legal officers of ADWLE Legal Aid Clinics in Vang Vieng District, Vientiane Province from May 7–9, 2024. Three days of training were dedicated to a range of topics related to the association's legal assistance and counselling programme. The training was led and facilitated by a team of lawyers from KT Law Firm, using participatory learning methods like breakout groups to research case studies and discuss challenges in assisting victims of violence.

Following the training, ADWLE lawyers and legal staff will continue to provide assistance using the training's lessons to improve existing services, making them more efficient and reaching more vulnerable target groups, with the support of The Asia Foundation in Lao PDR through the legal aid programme supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
