Organisational Background
The Association for Development of Women and Legal Education (ADWLE) is a Non-Profit Association (NPA). Originally called the Women’s Rights Study Association, the Association was created unofficially in 2008 by members of a CEDAW Resource Pool, with the intention to promote gender equality , women’s rights and access to justice in Lao PDR.
ADWLE gained registration as a non-profit association under Ministry of Home Affairs on 9/11/2012 (registration no. 799/ HA). ADWLE was re-registered in 2017 under the new Decree on non-profit associations.
