1,024 villagers attend raising awareness session on Prevention of COVID-19 Pandemic, Gender, Laws related to Women and Conscience in Law

ADWLE has received funding to support the implementation of the project “Promoting the rights and equality of women and men in access to protection from the spread of the epidemic of Covid-19.” Funded by EU by Plan International in Laos From CiSAC-19 to carry out activities in 10 target villages in Pak Ngeum District (5 villages) and Sikhottabong District (5 villages).

During Covid-19 the activity focus on Symptoms of covid disease, Path of contact of covid-19 disease, Groups at risk of being infected with Covid-19, Close contact at each level, How to prevent from the disease Kovid-19, Initial self-monitoring. Over 1000 villagers, of whom more than half were women, participated in raising awareness sessions held by the Association for Development of Women and Legal Education (ADWLE) between the beginning of the covid-19 in the end of 2019.

The promotion of the underprivileged, migrant workers returning to the country, unemployed youth, women and ethnic minority communities, is one of the pillars of ADWLE’s

work.
